From 10.30am-5.30pm our Cowdray Hall October Day Retreat will be a collective of:

A glorious venue: Set in the rolling hills of the South Downs National Park in West Sussex, 90 minutes west of West London, Cowdray is a historic 16,000-acre estate. A truly authentic English country house with sprawling woodlands, landscaped gardens, and a dedicated space for Wellbeing.

A talented team of chefs at The Yellow Kitchen: Lunch will be provided by The Yellow Kitchen, Cowdray’s in-house chef team. Using seasonal, organic Estate-grown ingredients and supporting other local producers our lunch will reaffirm a belief in the importance of nourishing, sustaining foods to support the practices of our retreat, and foster connection to the land.

Charlotte’s signature blend of practices: the alchemy of almost 30 years of exploring, learning, integrating, and teaching many practises helps to craft these ever-evolving Day Retreats to deliver a truly integral holistic approach to your wellbeing.

About the Day Retreat

My desire is to create a day that allows you to forget the every-day and an experience that will deeply nourish you.

The day will open with tea/coffee/pastry/fruit followed by a meditation. An hour Pilates class will be followed by an hour walk through the Estate woodlands.

We’ll return for lunch provided by The Yellow Kitchen and our afternoon will open with a somatic movement practise, Shamanic Drum journey and a deep yin yoga practice. We will round the day off with a visit to the Farm Shop where you can purchase Estate-grown produce and all types of food, drink, and local fair.

10.30-10.45 Welcome Tea/Coffee

10.45 – 11.30 Meditation/Breath work

11.45 – 12.45 Morning Pilates class with Myo-Fascial Release

13.00-14.00 Walk the Estate woodlands

14.00 – 15.00 Lunch

15.00 – 15.30 Somatic movement and Shamanic drum Journey

15.30 – 17.00 Yin Yoga class

17.00 Closing circle and Farm Shop visit

About the Practices

The core of our retreat day is built upon the practices of Yin Yoga and Pilates, meditation, and breath work, but I weave many other practices in throughout the sessions.

I will draw upon Traditional Chinese Medicine and Myo-Fascial release.

I will support our emotional well-being with flower essences and aromatherapy, Reiki and Somatic practices, sound, and energy work.

Cost: £150

Deposit: £25 will secure your space. The full balance is due 8 weeks before your retreat day.
